Imma just take a second and talk about toilet paper
Hopefully you’ll indulge my enthusiasm in something that isn’t usually something people talk about 😂 For the portion of you who are not yet acquainted with Who Gives a Crap toilet paper, let me properly introduce you. I’m probably going to sound like I’m being sponsored to shower them with compliments, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. But let’s start by essentially showering them in compliments for no other reason than wanting to share the joy of using a philanthropic toilet paper brand.
First and foremost–their tp comes wrapped in paper, which is not something you can really find at the grocery store. Yay for less plastic!
Second–their marketing is badass. I get strangely happy every time I get to pick up their box from in front of my door knowing that some mailperson or a neighbor just saw a box dramatically labelled with phrases like “You’ve got a nice bum.” There’s just something so entertaining about that. And that just the beginning of how great their branding is. Get ready for the “Emergency Roll.”
Third–their tp is good quality (not the sandpaper stuff). That pretty much speaks for itself.
And last but not least, their tp is made from eco friendly materials (i.e. bamboo and recycled paper) and they donate 50% of their profits to building toilets to those who need them around the world.
I bring them up because:
1. I am reminded of them every time I use the bathroom
2. They were one of the first companies that really opened my eyes to the possibilities of voting with my dollar.
Choosing them over some company that is just selling their product to make money is something that I truly value. Our choices have such a big impact on all these industries and how their treating employees or the planet, which is why I think it’s so important to search for the best options where we can and celebrate the ones we find.
What are some of your favorite companies that are prioritizing ethical practices over the status quo?
